The National Cadet Corps (N.C.C) affords opportunity for military training and social service to college students, without imposing on them any obligation for active military service.
The aims of the N.C.C. are
To develop character, comradeship ideal of service and capacity for leadership in young men,
To provide service training to young men so as to stimulate interest in the defence of the country, and To build up reserve of potential officers so that the defence service of the country can expand in a national emergency.
At the moment, the 24th Kerala Bn N.C.C. Boysâ€™ section of the college has 101 cadets on its rolls and Bn NCC Girlsâ€™ wing has 54 cadets on the rolls.
As the activities of the students organizations are banned in the campus, the cadets who engage themselves in such activities will be removed from the roll of NCC.
The leaders will be removed from their posts, if they do not attend the classes regularly and if they are involved in acts of indiscipline.
