Counselling Centre in St. Aloysius College works with the vision of promoting the academic community  a better mental health through the timely involvement in their interpersonal relations and social interactions.

Mission

Counselling Centre provides a range of programs to promote mental health, emotional resilience and wellness throughout the campus community. Our counsellors interact with students during orientation, conduct sensitization programs and theme-focused short-term group sessions. In emergency situations, students generally can approach the counsellors immediately.

  • To help students to attain better mental and personal growth.
  • Giving awareness on the factors that may lead to disruption, like alcoholism, drug abuse and  behavioural  issues with the family members.
  • Promote  better learning environment.
  • Awareness and promotion of mental health of students.

Services

Our purpose is to help students in their personal development or with painful life events. They will help students to develop resilience so that they are in a better position to respond to problems and concerns. We are here to help in furthering students’ growth and equip them to be more productive and successful. Crisis intervention and proper management of individual cases through adequate counselling services help the individuals to provide enhancement of skills in handling personal problems and interpersonal conflicts later by themselves.
